ReBridge hosted a kid’s event called Bayou Bridges Breakfast Come Learn with Us on Saturday morning, June 25th at 9 am.
Everyone met by the oak tree at the foot of the Magnolia Bridge (Moss and Harding). Breakfast was served to the children and they were introduced to two of the historic bridges that span the bayou.
The Preservation Resource Center conducted 30-minute walkabouts interpreting the portage and architecture of the area. The Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries offered casting lessons and interpreted specimens from the bayou, while volunteer artists worked with the kids to create an enormous mural, and all of this happened in the most beautiful setting to spend a summer morning.
