Nov 11: City Park to Plant 111 Trees on 11-11-11

What

As a tribute to veterans, volunteers and contractors will plant 111 trees on 11-11-11. One specimen tree measuring 11 feet 11 inches will be planted at (wait for it) 11:11 am. Eleven different species of trees will be planted including bald cypress, live oak, hickory, pecan, and sweet bay magnolia. Some veterans will be present for the specimen tree planting at 11:11 am.

Contractors will be planting the trees.

Where

Couturie Forest inside of City Park. Couturie Forest is on Harrison Avenue between Marconi and the Traffic Circle.

When

Friday, November 11th, 2011. Volunteers will be working from 9 am to noon.
