This was my second “shore walk” Yesterday’s shore walk put a good sized blister on my right heel even though I had two sets of socks on. While I was enthusiastic about today’s shore walk, that blister slowed things down a bit.
The New Orleans Lakefront was the scene
of today’s shore walk.
Many people were out enjoying the beautiful day. Sailboats sailed, fishermen fished and birds chirped all along the way. The Lakefront provided some great photo opportunities.
I concluded my walk with a car ride over to Lakefront Airport. There is a bridge to Lakefront Airport but, the bridge did not appear to be pedestrian friendly. While it may sound strange, no trip to the Lakefront should exclude visiting the Lakefront Airport terminal. It’s not a stretch to call the building and the restoration inside a “museum piece”. The photos below don’t do it justice but, hopefully, the photos below will inspire you to take a trip out to visit the Lakefront Airport. It’s worth a trip from anywhere!
