As you may be aware, the 16th annual Voodoo Music + Arts Experience takes place on October 31 – November 2, 2014, at City Park’s Festival Grounds. This year’s event should be an exciting mix of music, art, food and entertainment that thrills locals and visitors from across the country.
As a valued neighbor of City Park, we want to provide you with some information about the event. Our doors open each day at 10:30am and we close at 11:00pm on Friday and Saturday, and at 9:00pm on Sunday. In the days leading up to Voodoo, certain portions of City Park will be closed so that construction of site elements can be done safely without risk to the general public. To avoid any unnecessary disruption of the area, we are not making any request for closure of public streets around City Park. We will have law enforcement personnel stationed around the Park to ensure a safe environment for patrons and neighbors. Our goal is to have the entire City Park site cleared and open to the public by Saturday, November 8, 2014.
To further our goal of being a good neighbor, we have established two contact methods for anyone who has concerns regarding the event, including any sound questions. Please call 504-717-4250 and a member of our team will log your call and if necessary, dispatch our Sound Monitoring team to your location to take sound level measurements (dB readings). You may also email firstname.lastname@example.org for such questions. If you need the OPSO or Department of Public Works to tow a vehicle that may be blocking your driveway, please call 504-274-1442.
We aim to provide another world class event for the City of New Orleans, and hope that you will join us at City Park for what promises to be a spectacular weekend.
