The NOPD is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 13-year-old Dionte Coleman, who was last seen by his friends yesterday at about 6:45 p.m., leaving their home in the 1600 block of North Broad Street.
Dionte Coleman’s grandmother advised that he always makes it home on time because he has a medical condition and has to take medicine at a certain time each day. Coleman has not been seen or heard from since.
Dionte Coleman is described as a black male, approximately 5’1” tall and about 125 pounds. He was last seen wearing his school uniform, a blue jacket, white shirt and blue pants.

NEW ORLEANS, LA – The New Orleans Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 25-year-old Dana Harris wanted in connection with an Aggravated Assault that occurred on October 14, 2014, in the 3100 block of Orleans Avenue.
Shortly before 7:00 p.m., Harris went to the residence of her 49-year-old boyfriend where she confronted him at the door and a verbal altercation ensued. Harris subsequently brandished a knife and slashed through the screen door as she attempted to stab the victim prior to fleeing the location. The victim was able to retreat back and not sustain any injuries.
An arrest warrant has been obtained for Harris for Aggravated Assault and Simple Criminal Damage. First District Detective Lester Marshall is in charge of the investigation and can be reached at 658-6010.

A man who opened fire at a crowded 7th Ward playground in 2012, killing a rival in the drug trade, was found guilty of murder Wednesday (Oct. 22).
An Orleans Parish jury convicted Chevroun Smith, 23, of second-degree murder for pumping nine rounds of a 9mm handgun into 32-year-old Ali Robinson at the Stallings Playground in the 2700 block of Laharpe Street, sending park goers running and children screaming. The jury voted 10-2 in favor of guilt after deliberating for about 90 minutes.
Prosecutors say Smith, a member of the 7th Ward gang known as Prieur and Columbus Boyz, or PCB, shot Robinson around 7:30 p.m. on April 13, 2012, in front of numerous witnesses. A New Orleans event planner with ties to the local theater scene has been arrested on 50 counts of possession of child pornography. Brad Robbert, 41, was arrested Wednesday (Oct. 15), after detectives said they found 50 illicit images involving young children on his computer. October 16, 2014 SUSPECTS AND VEHICLE SOUGHT IN SEVENTH WARD BUSINESS BURGLARY
NEW ORLEANS, LA- The NOPD is asking the public’s assistance in locating the vehicle that was used in a business burglary. The incident occurred this morning in the 1400 block of North Broad Street. Around 5:03 a.m., three unknown black males were able to defeat the exterior security doors of the business and made entry. Once inside, the suspects stole over $8200 in cash and the video surveillance hard drive. During the course of the investigation, detectives learned the suspects fled in possibly a grey Chevy SUV either a Suburban or Tahoe with dark tinted windows and an unknown license plate number.

10/15/2014 NOPD SEARCHING FOR VEHICLE WANTED IN CONNECTION WITH TREME DOUBLE SHOOTING
NEW ORLEANS, LA- The NOPD is asking the public’s assistance in locating the vehicle that was used in a shooting incident that left two men injured. The incident occurred yesterday, October 14, 2014, around 7:00 p.m., in the 2200 block of Orleans Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a 27-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. The victim was transported to the hospital by EMS. Officers later learned a 21-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the arm was transported to the hospital via private conveyance.
Over the course of the investigation, detectives learned an older model silver Ford Expedition was observed fleeing the scene at a high rate of speed moments after the shooting.
First District Detective Tristan Carter is in charge of the investigation.

New Orleans police were searching for a man wanted in a Saturday, Sept 4, 2014 morning rape along Bayou St. John. Police said 55-year-old Terry Sippio raped a 33-year-old woman at knifepoint around 6 a.m. near Toulouse Street and Jefferson Davis Parkway.
Sippio had offered the woman a ride near Tulane Avenue and Jeff Davis. She accepted, but after she entered the vehicle he raped her, police said. The woman escaped, noted Sippio’s license plate number and flagged down a passing police officer, police said.
Sippio was driving a 2003 gray Mazda Tribute with Louisiana license XOL006, police said. He is described as being 5-foot-1-inch tall and weighing about 110 pounds. He has residences in Uptown New Orleans and LaPlace, police said. Police asked that anyone with information on his whereabouts call Crimestoppers Inc. at 504.822.1111

Two male subjects smashed the front window of a business, entered and stole two safes which contained cash. The burglary took place July 29, 2014 at approximately 2:00am, at #1 Fredrick Avenue, a rental business in City Park.

Any person who, after the commission of a felony, shall harbor, conceal, or aid the offender, knowing or having reasonable ground to believe that he has committed the felony, and with the intent that he may avoid or escape from arrest, trial, conviction, or punishment shall be charged with R.S. 14:25; Relative to Accessories After the Fact.
An accessory after the fact may be tried and punished, notwithstanding the fact that the principal felon may not have been arrested, tried, convicted, or amenable to justice.
Whoever becomes an accessory after the fact shall be fined not more than five hundred dollars, or imprisoned, with or without hard labor, for not more than five years, or both; provided that in no case shall his punishment be greater than one-half of the maximum provided by law for a principal offender.
