Free Legal Fair – at Mahalia Jackson Center on Tuesday, August 30th 9am – 3pm
Local attorneys will be volunteering their time to answer questions. To the extent folks have ongoing legal issues, such as lawsuits they are dealing with, etc., we can really only lead them in the right direction and give them some resources on who to contact to help them get their issues resolved. There will also be attorneys from The Pro Bono Project on hand to assist. If someone needs an attorney to represent them for an ongoing issue, and they meet the Pro Bono Project’s qualifications, they can get some assistance in getting placed with an attorney who will represent them on a pro bono basis. Other than that, we will have notarial services, so if anyone needs to have documents notarized, this event would be a good opportunity to get that done free of charge.
