Also the guy in the truck watching the whole thing brought up a good point when I was talking to him. He said that someone from the company has to sit there for the six hours of fumigation to ensure that kids don’t go in.
Let me tell you, if I were a kid and there suddenly existed a Clown House on my block I think I would have been quite content to stay outside. I’d rather go to an Inconvenience Store than a Clown House.
I love my neighborhood. I love the web of a hundred power and phone lines you never see until you’re paying attention. I love a cloudy blue sky day. I love the nasty muggy heat. I love a one-way street with potholes. I love New Orleans.

I don’t think there has ever been a single homeowner in New Orleans who has been afraid to paint their house some strange combination of colors.
I was able to get all these colors in my block alone. I just walked to the intersection taking pictures then turned around and came home. There are some even better color combinations nearby but I wanted to limit it to one block.
Just another reason I love NOLA.
